The Midland Alliance Charity Ball – Moirai was a flagship event co-hosted by four universities, Warwick, Nottingham, Birmingham, and Leeds, bringing together 168 guests for an unforgettable night of elegance and energy. Representing Leeds, I took the lead on finance, where I managed to cut the budget by 37% and secure two long-term sponsors, helping us raise £235 for Crisis UK, all while keeping the glamour intact.

Guests were treated to a three-course meal with three options for each course, catering thoughtfully to vegetarian and gluten-free needs, and of course, a glass of wine to kick-start the vibes. The venue was dressed to impress with golden balloon decor, a photo booth stocked with fun props which participants enjoyed the unlimited access, and a rose stall offering both red and white roses for that extra romantic touch.

The evening featured two guest vocal performances before the lights dimmed and the dance floor lit up with hip-hop beats, transforming the ball into a full-on celebration. The night didn’t end there, the party carried on with an after-party attended by over 100 guests, capping off a night that was as meaningful as it was memorable.
