MonopoLeeds is the flagship annual event of Leeds HKPASS, drawing over 200 participants and generating a £1,200 net profit with support from three long-term sponsors. The 2024 edition embraced the theme "Ancient Chinese Dynasty", immersing attendees in a creatively designed, story-driven experience where our organizing team acted as in-game hosts, creating original characters, interactive games, and custom props to bring the setting to life.

To enhance immersion, we carefully tailored all games to fit the ancient theme. For example, in our “Spot the Differences” activity, we inserted our own committee members’ faces onto characters from ancient Chinese TV dramas, adding a humorous and personal twist that participants loved. Other themed games included a traditional culture trivia challenge and interactive gaming tasks like gambling station, all contributing to an unforgettable cultural experience that blended storytelling, fun, and heritage.

One of the event’s standout elements was the inclusion of a fictional foreign government representative, a character crafted in collaboration with our sponsor AAS Education, a global education services organization. In the storyline, this character arrived in the dynasty to study abroad through AAS and assisted at the 'school' booth, where he met members of the royal family. This creative addition was especially well-received, earning enthusiastic feedback for its originality and engagement.
